This repository contains packages to facilitate natural language processing under Ubuntu Linux and other Debian-based platforms. The goal of Ubuntu NLP is to provide up-to-date packages for commonly used tools that can be easily installed and smoothly integrated into existing systems. This repository was created by Eric Nichols < eric-n--at--is.naist.jp >. Please contact me if any problems are encountered using these packages.

The following distribution releases are available

dapper
These packages are suitable on Ubuntu Dapper (6.06 LTS). Using them in other versions or other distributions may work, but is not supported.
gutsy
These packages are suitable on Ubuntu Gutsy (7.10). Using them in other versions or other distributions may work, but is not supported.
hardy
These packages are suitable on Ubuntu Hardy Heron (8.04 LTS). Using them in other versions or other distributions may work, but is not supported.
intrepid
These packages are suitable on Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex (8.10). Using them in other versions or other distributions may work, but is not supported.
jaunty
These packages are suitable on Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope (9.04). Using them in other versions or other distributions may work, but is not supported.

Authenticated packages

Packages is this repository can be gpg authenticated. The key that is being used for signing the packages is 8ABD1965. You can enter this key into the APT trusted keys database with the following command:
wget http://cl.naist.jp/~eric-n/ubuntu-nlp/8ABD1965.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -
